A single-phase pole mounted transformer is a special type of single-phase transformer that has a pole mounted shape. It consists of a primary winding and a secondary winding and is primarily used to step up or step down the voltage of AC power.

The single-phase pole mounted transformer typically uses a toroidal core to support and guide the magnetic field. This core is made of a high-permeability material, such as silicon steel, to enhance the efficiency of the transformer and reduce iron losses. The primary and secondary windings are wound around this core and achieve voltage transformation through mutual induction.

Single-Phase Pole-Mounted Conventional Transformer is a widely used outdoor power distribution device in grid systems, optimized for overhead line installations. It features a classic oil-immersed structure, with a closed-core design constructed from high-permeability silicon steel laminations. The high-voltage winding utilizes layered copper conductors, while the low-voltage side typically employs foil-winding technology, both fully submerged in insulating oil for efficient heat dissipation and electrical insulation. Equipped with a corrugated tank heat dissipation system, the transformer's corrosion-resistant enclosure undergoes phosphating and anti-corrosion coating treatments, meeting IP43 protection standards and operating reliably across ambient temperatures ranging from -30°C to 45°C.
The transformer is cylinder sealing structure. Each one is fixed with grounding devices, hooks, sup porting lugs which conforms to ANSI standard, and one or two high voltage bushing on the cover, low voltage bushing on the wall of the tank and eyebolt,connecting terminals. The tap changer should be adjusted basing on the instruction after the power off.
This type of transformers are CSP type, which can protect itself from thunder and lighting, short circuit and protect the transiting and distribution line from current failure because of self-malfunction.
Except from some similarities such as cylinder tank, hooks, lifting lugs, grounding devices, nameplates, core and winding with the conventional type. This type of transformers have characteristics and devices as follows:
1) One or two high voltage bushings are on the cover with fuse.
2) One or two arresters are installed on the wall of the tank, whose top end is near to the high voltage bushing, and connected to the bushing by a copper strip. One secondary breaker switch is above the winding inside the tank, and here are operating handle,overload reset and signal light.
3) Low voltage bushing is educed from the wall of the tank, grounding device is fixed to position X2. One end of the single
bushing leads out through the high voltage bushing, the other end is ground connection.
4) All units are built in accordance with ANSI/IEEEC57.12.20, CSA C2.1-06,CSA C2.2-06 and etc.
